17 Jan Light of Soledad, premiere in Mexico
After a successful tour of various countries in Europe and America, the film “Light of Solead” hits theaters in Mexico on February 8th. This feature film is made by Goya Producciones, the same producer of “Fatima, the Ultimate Mystery”, which last year attracted more than 80,000 people to Mexican cinemas.
This original feature film, directed by Pablo Moreno, has achieved many awards, including the Bravo Award for best actress to the protagonist Laura Contreras, who masterfully embodies the Spanish saint and founder Soledad Torres Acosta.
The premiere will take place on February 8 in 13 Cinépolis rooms in the following cities: CDMX (5), Guadalajara (2), Puebla, León, Aguascalientes, Querétaro, Campeche and Mérida. Previously, on January 17, special passes will be offered in eight cities for media and personalities. Tickets are now available on the Cinépolis website.
Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga commented on the day of his presentation in Rome at the Vatican Film Archive, that “this film constitutes a magnificent contribution to the message of mercy that Pope Francis invites us to practice.
The young Soledad appears to us as a popular heroine who fights amid revolutions, epidemics, prejudices and conflicts, and manages to save a religious and charitable foundation, rejected in her time: the Servants of Mary, Ministers of the Sick. The film is based on real events, also the story with which the feature film begins and which takes place in the current times.
